Meet Wooly: Kora Cottages' Newest Summer Guest

Over the past few days, a special visitor has made itself at home at Kora Cottages. Affectionately nicknamed "Wooly" by staff, this beautiful Polyphemus moth has been resting quietly on one of our cabin buildings, delighting guests and nature lovers alike.

The Polyphemus moth is one of the largest moth species in North America, known for its soft, fuzzy appearance and impressive wingspan. Despite their size, these gentle giants are completely harmless and spend most of their short adult lives searching for mates and enjoying the warm summer nights.

Wooly has been happily "chilling" at Kora for over a day now, choosing a cozy sheltered spot to rest during daylight hours. It's a wonderful reminder of the incredible wildlife that shares our beautiful corner of Wasaga Beach.

If you're visiting Kora this summer, keep an eye out—you never know what fascinating creatures you might discover during your stay!

Have you spotted Wooly? Be sure to snap a photo and share it with us!
